glitz and glam

There is nothing like sequins and glitter for the New Year!
Let’s be honest, I do own quite a few sequined dresses and tops...but this year instead of dressing head to toe in sequins...I am all about subtly accessorizing with chunky jewelry and these other glitzy pieces. Enjoy!

Has anyone seen where Christmas went?

Holy Moly... I cannot believe how quick Christmas went by! I loved every part of it - being home with family, the presents, the day trips, the tree’s and the FOOD...OMG the food!!!  Here is a quick recap of my 2011 Holiday.
P.S. I got a new camera from Santa...so don’t judge my camera skills too hard.

DIY | Fabric Garland & Polaroid Ornaments

Here is a double dose of some easy Holiday projects that have been happening around my house today!

POLAROID ORNAMENTS: My second tree was looking a little bare so I found some old polaroids of my grandparents and mom opening presents and playing in the snow and clipped them on the tree with cloths pins! Simple and unique!

FABRIC GARLAND: I needed some Christmas sparkle in my tiny kitchen so I took to one of my Pinterest finds to be inspired!  All you need is a strand of lights, scrap ribbon and tulle!
Easy Peasy!

I’m dreaming of a PINK Christmas!

Here is a peek at my borrowed PINK Christmas tree...

This season I am sticking with a gold and silver color scheme with a pop of some unconventional colors such as pink and turquoise.  It’s girly and fun...and I am kinda in love with it!  Gathering all things silver and gold, I stumbled upon some of my grandmother's vintage brooches/ earrings and decided to use them as ornaments.  Another fun DIY ornament project is using pine cones - all you need is a hot glue gun, ribbon or string and you have a cute natural addition to your tree.  If you want to get extra fancy with it you can also spray paint or sprinkle glitter on the pine cones.
More holiday pictures and DIY ideas to come...
xoxo!

P.S. Thanks goes to the best neighbor ever for letting me borrow the tree and steal the pine cone orament idea!
