If you don't have any plans later this evening, come check out Earth Jam at Trashed. Trashed is a creative recycling studio that I just got started working with. The studio is fun & my Trashed girls are oh so FAB!
Here is a quick (& cheap) DIY idea for simple wire chandeliers.
Look past the gaudy beads & bad colors when shopping for a chandelier - good bones are usually hidden under all that tackiness. After all, terrible coloring can be quickly resolved with a coat of paint.
Let the paint dry & head inside to start making the sparkly dangles.
You will need: Ribbon, Mini Circle Mirrors, Sequins & A Glue Gun
First cut the ribbon to your desired length - I decided on variegated lengths so I cut my longer strands to about 6 inches & shorter strands to about 3.5 inches. Next, figure out the separation of the sequins & circular mirrors. A quick tip: use the mirror pieces at the bottom of each strand to weigh them down.
Sandwich the ribbon with glue, the mirror pieces & sequins. Repeat for all the dangles needed to cover your specific chandelier.
Attach all your finished ribbons to the chandelier. For a secure hold tie a simple knot or use glue.
Hang your chandelier for instant sparkle to any space!
